Manchester United ‘s new signing Amad Diallo has been urged to put on some flesh if he is to thrive in the Premier League.
Diallo completed his move to Old Trafford last week, after signing a deal that will see him remain until 2024.
The Ivorian forward joined after impressing with Italian side, Atalanta, and has been tipped to succeed with the Red Devils.
However, Denis Cerlini, his former boss at amateur side, Boca Borca, believes his current physical condition isn’t good for the game, and there’s room for improvement.
He told the BBC: “Physically, Amad wasn’t the strongest at Boca Barco, and his heading abilities aren’t good.”
Meanwhile, former Italy international, Giovanni Galli also added: “He must add a few kilograms of weight in order to survive in the Premier League.”
Talent wise, Diallo is up to the task ahead, but perhaps, as suggested, the 18 year old may need to borrow a leaf from Mason Greenwood, and build up his muscle to add to the physical side of the game.
