Manchester United urged to prioritise signing Sancho and Grealish

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has sent a message to Manchester United over the potential signings of Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho.

The club is expected to delve into the winter window in a bid to boost our title hopes. The likes of Grealish and Sancho have been linked with moves to Old Trafford.

Former Arsenal and England striker Wright is confident both players will be superb signings for the club.

“It would be absolutely crazy for Villa to sell him now as they don’t need to,” Wright said on Optus Sport’s The Kelly and Wrighty Show.

“I believe the last contract he signed was one to secure Villa’s bag, in respects of what they’re going to get for him at some stage because it’s going to be a lot of money.

“But there’s no way that’s happening in January but you could see Jack Grealish doing an unbelievable job at Manchester United.

“It’s something that could happen in the future.”

Sancho has had a slow start to the season by his standards but Wright feels the Borussia Dortmund forward is exactly the kind of player United should make efforts to sign in the transfer market.

“When you’re talking about Jadon Sancho as a talent and if you can put that in your armoury, then you have to do it,” he added.

“If he comes to England and plays anything like what he has done for Dortmund, he’s going to be a massive star here.

“It’s a player that Manchester United should be going for.

“Whether they’re going for him at a time when they may need to get someone else is a whole different story, but of course if Manchester United can get Jadon Sancho then they should.”

Wright continued: “Sancho is somebody that you can see at a club of Manchester United’s stature.

“But do they need him before they need maybe defensive cover, in and around the centre-backs? No, you probably think that they can strengthen there.

“But I think that, as time goes by, Jadon Sancho is somebody that would do magnificently at Manchester United.”
