Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah has named Axel Tuanzebe, Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay as the United teammates that helped him settle in at the club.
The Dutchman has revealed how he initially found it difficult to settle into life in Manchester, but is grateful to both players for their support.
When asked about his initial days at the Man United Academy, Timothy Fosu-Mensah told the official website: “The lads made me feel very welcome.
“Players like Axel [Tuanzebe], Marcus [Rashford], Scott [McTominay]… we all played in the U18s. They made me feel very welcome.
“Marcus was the one with the driving license and the first one in the team with one so he always offered me a lift. We didn’t live far from each other.
“The lads have always been very good. Axel is also like a leader. The first thing he did was make me feel comfortable in the team and they all made me feel comfortable in the team.
“The transition, coming from Amsterdam to Manchester, maybe the first month was a bit difficult, but after that it was so easy. I think the club did everything they could to make me feel comfortable.”
The 22-year-old is in talks with the club over a new deal as his current contract will expire next year.
