Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is keen on leaving the club in January or next summer and Spanish giants Real Madrid is his dream club.
According to The Mirror, Real Madrid will not pay extra to land Paul Pogba from Manchester United – like they did with Eden Hazard.
The financial impact of the Covid-19 and Real Madrid still still paying the price for Hazard has left the Spanish side without a penny to pay for Pogba’s services.
Real Madrid signed Eden Hazard from Chelsea in the summer of 2019 for £143million despite him being in the last year of his contract. It hasn’t gone well for Hazard at Real Madrid as he has been plagued by injuries throughout his time at the Bernabeu.
With Pogba entering the final year of his contract next season, Real are happy to play a waiting game rather than splash the cash.
Manchester United signed Pogba for a fee of £89m from Juventus but will struggle to get half that amount for the France international now.
Meanwhile, Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola recently revealed the France international wants to leave Manchester United.
“I can say that it’s over for Paul Pogba at Manchester United,” Raiola told Tuttosport.
“Paul is unhappy with United as he is no longer able to express himself in the way that he would like and as he is expected to.
“Paul needs a new team, a change of air.
“He is under contract for the next 18 months and it will expire in the summer of 2022.
“However, I think that the best solution for both Pogba and Man United is that he goes in the next transfer window.”
