Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola revealed on Monday that the Manchester United midfielder wants to leave the club.
Pogba has 18 months left on his contract but Raiola says it would be best for the midfielder to be sold in January, instead of allowing him to leave for free in 2022.
According to The Telegraph, Pogba is unhappy at Manchester United because he is unhappy with his midfield role under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Pogba was given a free role in an advanced midfield position when Solksjaer took charge and he finished as United’s top scorer in the 18/19 campaign.
Bruno Fernandes was signed in January while Pogba was injured and the Portuguese has been preferred in the advanced midfield role while Pogba has been deployed in a midfield two, which requires more defensive duties than he’d like.
