Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has lauded Manchester United’s comeback away wins against Everton and Southampton as some of the best in recent times, but this was only before another comeback win against West Ham.
The Norwegian, who has been under fire for our indifferent start to the new season, has recently inspired his side to go on a four game winning run away from home.
The wins have also come against tough opponents like Newcastle, Brighton, Everton and Southampton, and when asked to share which one he considered his best so far, the boss leaned toward the last two.
According to him, both games were special because they showed the amount of grit and mental strength the players posses.
He’s quoted by ESPN as saying before the West Ham clash: “It’s so difficult. There’s been many good examples lately. When we beat PSG away, fantastic. When we beat Leipzig at home, fantastic. But then the last league games.
“The win against Everton, when we were under pressure. The win against Southampton now, the comeback, the attitude. These two games have really given me belief that we can keep carrying on.
“Because it wasn’t just about the perfect games, but it was about attitude and personality and team together as well.”
United came from behind to beat Everton 3-1, and Southampton 3-2, to extend our away winning run to four consecutive games, and the win over West Ham stretched it even further.
With another comeback win against West Ham, this will also go down as one of Solskjaer’s favourite wins. Which is your favourite win so far this season in the Premier League?
