Jesse Lingard is reportedly set for a new Manchester United deal, despite not playing for the club for most of the season.
The 27 year old has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, following his poor form in the last 18 months, and is keen to move abroad for regular football.
Lingard has just 12 months remaining on his current deal, with an option to extend for a further year, and United are set to trigger the clause.
According to Daily Star, United want to offer the Englishman a 12 month contract, to ensure they don’t lose him for nothing should he want to leave next year.
The player has made 175 appearances for United, but only two have come from the ongoing season, and they were in the Carabao Cup.
