Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain set Champions League record

Manchester United need a result on matchday six away at Leipzig after succumbing to a 3-1 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain at Old Trafford.

Neymar opened the scoring for Paris Saint-Germain after six minutes before Marcus Rashford equalised for Manchester United in the 32nd minute.

Marquinhos poked home for the visitors in the 69th minute. Neymar then completed the scoring by tapping home Rafinha Alcantara’s cross from close range in injury time.

Manchester United’s loss at home to Paris Saint-Germain means both teams set a new Champions League record.

According to Opta, the away side has won all four Champions League matches between Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain; excluding games played at neutral venues, it’s the first fixture in the competition’s history to see the first four meetings all won by the away side.
