Manchester United boss, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed his side’s wonderful comeback against Southampton on Sunday.
The Saints went into the break 2-0 up, and it seemed almost impossible we’d come back into it.
However, second half substitute, Edinson Cavani showed up and put on a wonderful display to earn us a much-needed three points.
Speaking on the win during his post-match presser, the Norwegian said he was delighted with the spirit and grit we showed to get the win.
In his own words, “It is a trait of Manchester United to never give in.
“Every single one of them, there was absolutely no chance they were going to give up. That’s a big thing for a Manchester United player and person.”
Solskjaer also said he was not worried about going in down by two against the hosts, because he knew we would get back into it.
“I was quite calm [at half time],” he added.
“It’s about not conceding another goal and getting the next one. There was always going to be another one in that game. We must have had five or six clear-cut chances in the game today so it was about taking them when we got the chance. It worked.”
