Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea, has updated fans on his fitness status, following the injury he sustained in Sunday’s game against Southampton.
United beat the Saints 3-2, after going down 2-0 in the first half. However, a Bruno Fernandes goal, and a brace from Edinson Cavani helped us get the vital win.
But the win aside, it wasn’t all great for the team, as De Gea didn’t finish the game, and had to be replaced by Dean Henderson.
Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has said it is nothing serious, and he should be back soon, and the Spaniard himself, has taken to Twitter to provide an update to the fans.
The message he posted on his Twitter after the match read, “With a comeback like this one the knee pain is more bearable. Great work, I’ll be back soon! C’MON MY TEAM.”
De Gea will be assessed to know his fitness level before the game against Paris Saint-Germain this week, but even if he doesn’t make it, Dean Henderson should be able to fill in well.
