Manchester United manager Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed he’s a big admirer of Southampton manager, Ralph Hasenhuttl, and the progress his side have made under him.
The Saints are on a seven-match unbeaten run, and are currently fifth on the Premier League table, after nine games; just three behind leaders Tottenham.
Southampton have impressed both home and away, including in their draw against Chelsea some weeks ago, where they came from behind to earn a 3-3 draw, and Solskjaer is well-aware of their threat.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference the Norwegian said, “It is similar to when Jurgen came to Liverpool. Likes pressing, front foot, aggressive. Difficult to play against if you dwell on the ball.
“Very interesting to watch their progress under Ralph. I am a big admirer of the physical attributes they have in their team.”
Ralph Hasenhuttl has been linked with taking over the role at Man United if Solskjaer were sacked, but the Austrian recently shot down the reports.
