What Man United legend Cantona said after Diego Maradona’s death

More tributes and reactions have trailed the sad passing of football icon, Diego Maradona.

The world cup-winning Argentine died in Buenos Aires on Wednesday, after suffering a cardiac arrest, and the global football community is still in mourning.

One of those who appear distraught by the news of Maradona’s death is former Manchester United forward, Eric Cantona, who recently took to his Instagram to pay tribute to the legend.

Cantona posted an image of Maradona taken during a game for his home country, and added the caption, “I will miss you Diego but for me you did not die. I don’t have the words to say how I feel..”

Maradona was hospitalised days ago, following a health scare, but sadly, after getting discharged from the hospital, he just couldn’t continue fighting.

May he rest in peace.
