Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given his verdict on the performances of summer signings Edinson Cavani and Donny van de Beek in our Champions League win over Istanbul Basaksehir.
The Norwegian was very pleased with both the Uruguayan and the Dutchman, and expressed his satisfaction with their inputs in the game.
“I think the two of them are getting used to how we want them to play,” said the Norwegian.
“Of course, Donny can play in different positions, Edinson is a good old fashion number nine and we haven’t had that for a little while, and I was very happy with how Anthony [Martial] played off the left hand side again.”
Van de Beek has been garnering praise since his performance against Istanbul Basaksehir, and the Netherlands International will be hoping that he’d be enough for the Manchester United boss to hand him a rare Premier League start this weekend.
