Juventus’ director of football, Fabio Patricini, has reacted to reports linking the Italian club with Paul Pogba.
The Frenchman is out of contract with United in 2022, and despite initial reports negotiation for a new deal was already underway, a recent reports from The Athletic has watered it all down.
The outlet recently claimed the 27 year old was now reluctant about a new deal, and is willing to run down his current contract, so he can leave and join any club in 2022.
But Juventus, who are amongst the clubs the Frenchman has been linked with, have said they’re not considering a move for him for now.
“Paul Pogba as our target? In this moment he’s a Man United player, it’s difficult to think about transfers,” Fabio Paratici said.
He however, added, “We love Pogba, he’s a fantastic player but it’s too early to talk about our targets for the future.”
Pogba, who has mostly underwhelmed this season, missed last weekend’s game against West Brom due to injury, according to Olé Gunnar Solskjaer, but it’d be interesting to see the progress he makes in the coming days.
