Manchesterer United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed the reason for Paul Pogba’s absence in the Manchester United’s matchday squad that faced West Brom.

The Frenchman picked up an ankle injury, but the Norwegian is hoping for a quick return to action for the player as we focus on our Champions League clash against Istanbul Basaksehir on Tuesday.

“He [Pogba] tried to finish the last session but it [ankle] got worse and worse so he is unavailable today,” Solskjaer said.

“Hopefully he is OK for Tuesday [against Istanbul] but we’ll see.”
