Manchester United have reportedly stopped discussions over a contract extension with Paul Pogba, after the player’s show of a lack of willingness to sign, reports claim.
According to The Athletic, initial talks over a new contract had taken place, but the Frenchman is reluctant to continue staying at Old Trafford beyond his current deal.
Pogba is said to be keen to leave United, and now wants to run down his contract and become a free agent, when it expires in two years.
The outlet adds that the 27 year old wants the option of being able to pick where he plays next when he exits Old Trafford.
The report comes after the midfielder described his recent struggles at United as the worst he has ever faced in his career.
