Spanish giants, Barcelona, are reportedly anxious about the future of their star, Ousmane Dembele, following the player’s refusal to pen a new deal with them.

Dembele’s contract with Barcelona expires in 2022, and they are reportedly desperate to sell him and get something off his sale, with just 13 months remaining until he can start negotiating with other clubs.

The injury prone player came close to joining Man United last summer, after our failed pursuit of Dortmund star, Jadon Sancho, but the move didn’t happen because he didn’t want to leave.

Now, Spanish outlet, Sport, is reporting that Barcelona are now worried that the 23 year old is deliberately trying to run down his contract at the Camp Nou, so he can leave on a free in a few months.

Barcelona signed Dembele for £96 million in 2017, after Neymar’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain, and cannot afford to lose him on a free, and with the January transfer window approaching, they will be looking to try to sell him again.
