UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has hailed Manchester United striker Marcus Rasford’s amazing decision to launch a book club.
The United striker has teamed up with Macmillan Children’s Books to promote reading for kids.
The UK Prime Minister welcomes the decision which will allow children to benefit from the enjoyment of reading books.
Boris Johnson’s official spokesperson said: “It is fantastic that Marcus Rashford is shining a light on the power that books have.
“We welcome his book club allowing more children to benefit from the enjoyment which books bring.”
Rashford has encouraged ‘every child’ in the UK to read more books and promised to provide them for free with his campaign. He is also working on a non-fiction book for children that is likely to be released in May 2021.
