Former Tottenham player, Ossie Ardiles, has added more fuel to the Mauricio Pochettinho to Manchester United talks, by saying the Argentine ‘knows exactly what he wants to do’.
The former Tottenham and Southampton boss left his role at the London club last year, and surprisingly hasn’t landed a new one yet.
Since his exit from Tottenham, there have been rumours he’s been offered a job at AS Monaco and Benfica, but the United links appear to be the strongest.
And with Olé Gunnar Solskjaer not exactly performing well this season, many believe it won’t be long before Poch gets back in business, including Ardiles, who says he is only taking his time, and he’ll be back soon.
“He has had a few offers, but for one reason or another it’s not happened,” he told the Evening Standard.
“He’s just waiting and he’s in a very good position, he can more or less choose where to go.
“He knows exactly what he wants to do. Football is his life, so he’s been watching everything and he likes to talk about football.
“He’ll take his time and, before long, he’ll be working again.”
Manchester United have publicly backed Solskjaer, through executive vice chairman, Ed Woodward, who recently revealed they’re confident in the path they’re going, under the Norwegian, but there’s no point denying the fact that the former striker will be relieved of his duties if things don’t take a more positive outlook.
