Juan Mata has revealed the team is eager and waiting to take on their seemingly congested fixture schedule, as the international break has provided them an opportunity to recharge and prepare.
The Red Devils have five matches between now and November 5, including games against Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir in the UEFA Champions League.
The boss, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer, has previously complained about the tightness of the schedule, but Mata is confident we can navigate the games.
He told the official Man United website, “We have been resting for a few days, but then getting ready for the next game – mentally and physically – and analysing the opponent and being tactically ready for it.
“I think we have to try to recharge the batteries whenever there is an international break if we didn’t go with the international team.
“The fixtures, as you know, are coming quick and fast, and we have to be ready to play every three days. So it was a good time to disconnect. “We are looking forward to the busy spell. Of course, it’s exciting for me to play football as often as possible. I’m very much looking forward to it.
“Hopefully, from now until Christmas, and during the Christmas period, we know it’s a very important period and to have a good run of results.”
Mata has been involved in some of United’s matches this season, including our most recent win against Everton just before the break, and it would be nice to see if he plays against West Bromwich Albion.
