Former Manchester United players, Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand tore into Daily Mirror over the weekend, after the news outlet published a new report about Mason Greenwood.
The story, which alleged that Man United officials were worried Greenwood may throw his career away like Ravel Morrison had been shared on Twitter, but both Ferdinand and Neville found it distasteful, and didn’t waste time to make their feelings known.
Neville quoted the tweet, to let the outlet know he was unfollowing them on the platform, while Ferdinand asked them to provide their source for the story, implying it was untrue.
Many United fans were thrilled to see the reactions from both legends, especially after weeks of similar stories about Greenwood.
