Manchester United are desperately hoping Alex Telles is available for this weekend’s clash against West Bromwich Albion, despite his latest coronavirus test result.

The Brazilian tested positive to the virus for the second time in a month, after initially recovering just before the international break.

However, new reports say that despite the test result, United are hopeful it will not negatively affect the player’s chances of playing against The Baggies this weekend.

While Telles tested positive again, he hasn’t necessarily contracted the virus a second time, which seems to show a ray of hope for the Red Devils.

United hope to assess the player’s condition again, before the match against West Brom, after his return from international duty.

With Luke Shaw unavailable due to injury, losing Telles would be a major blow.
