Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris has cited a lack of rhythm as the reason behind Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba’s poor form.
The United midfielder has been heavily criticized lately for his poor form having been unable to hold down a regular starting spot under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this term.
Pogba is currently on international duty with France, and played just under an hour of the shock 2-0 friendly defeat at home to Finland before being substituted, with Les Blues Boss Didier Deschamps admitting the player has not been at his best.
Spurs captain Lloris had this to say about the player’s form:
“He lacks a bit of rhythm, compared to his situation at his club.
“Like (Raphael) Varane or (Antoine) Griezmann, he comes with a smile.
“We see him ready to meet the challenges, the jersey of Les Bleus is close to his heart.
“He is one of the leaders of this team. He has a long history (with France) and also knows how to raise his level when necessary, especially when there is adversity.
“He will be keen to do well.”
