Manchester United striker, Edinson Cavani was on target for Uruguay on Friday night, as the South American country beat Colombia 3-0 in a World Cup qualifier.

It was Cavani’s first goal for his country in about a year, with the last coming in November 2019.

The former Paris Saint-Germain star gave Uruguay the lead in the 5th minute, after teammate, Nathan Nandez robbed the ball and set him up to fire home with a fine right-foot finish.

The hosts later added two goals courtesy of Luis Suarez and Darwin Nunez in the second half, to cap off a decent performance.

Cavani’s latest effort comes after he scored United’s third against Everton in the Premier League last weekend, and he is now just one goal away from scoring 50 for Uruguay.
