According to reports, Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is set to miss the club’s next ten fixtures after scan results showed he has sustained a hamstring strain during last weekend’s win against Everton.
The England international set-up Bruno Fernandes’ equaliser, but he was taken off midway through the first half after pulling up after a sprint to defend an Everton counter-attack.
Report from The Athletic have claimed the player will be out for about six weeks.
The fullback will miss games against West Brom after the international break, the return leg against Istanbul Basaksehir at Old Trafford, and the Premier League clash against Southampton in the remainder of November.
Shaw’s return will be after Christmas, and the defender is also expected to miss games against PSG, West Ham, RB Leipzig, Manchester City, Sheffield United, Leeds United, and Everton.
His next appearance will likely come on Boxing Day away at Leicester City.
Shaw has played every minute of our Premier League season so far and has two assists to his name in his last two games.
