According to reports, Manchester United could rekindle interest in Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish next summer after the player’s superb start to the new campaign.

Report from Manchester Evening News claim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could sanction a move for the Villa captain should either Paul Pogba or Juan Mata leave the club at the end of the season.

The Red Devils were unable to land England international Grealish over the summer due to his £75million asking price.

Grealish eventually committed his future to the Midland club by signing a new long-term contract worth £110,000-a-week in September.

However, the bookies have already installed the Red devils as favourites ahead of Arsenal to sign Grealish next year.

With the future of both Mata and Pogba looking uncertain at Old Trafford, the club could be in the market for a new playmaker.

So far, the England international has scored four goals and provided five assists in just seven Premier League games.

It now remains to be seen if the club will be willing to meet Villa’s asking price come the end of the season, with last summer’s £75m valuation sure to increase significantly.
