Stats show why McTominay and Fred should play more for Manchester United

Fred and Scott McTominay have been Olé Gunnar Solskjaer’s most preferred midfielders this season, and new stats show the pair deserve to continue starting.

In the last six matches that Fred and McTominay have started, Man United have won four, while losing just one.

United also have a better win rate of 67% when the pair play, than when they do not (50%).

Fred and McTominay were not on the pitch during United’s terrible 6-1 loss to Tottenham at Old Trafford, and the club has managed just three wins without them.

Both midfielders, along with Bruno Fernandes, were at the top of their game when we faced Everton at Goodison Park last weekend, and they showed grit and dedication to ensure we returned to Manchester with maximum points.
