The Man United foundation has been given the North west football award for ‘Community Initiative of the season’ for their contributions towards reducing the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
The award is a way of showing appreciation to those who achieved footballing excellence on and off the pitch during the pandemic.
The United foundation contributed massively toward helping the lots of people during the Covid-19 lockdown, by donating £1 million to charities and local food banks.
And it’s not even stopped, as it continues to donate money to NHS staff and local food banks, and distribute protective gear to health workers.
United are one of the few teams in England, who didn’t furlough staff during the lockdown, and definitely deserve the love and praise they are getting.
