Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed Harry Maguire for his impressive performance in our 3-1 win over Everton.
The Norwegian was clearly impressed with the way captain Maguire dominated Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin whom he labelled as one of the best strikers in the world.
Despite harsh criticisms over his performances in recent weeks, Maguire put in a solid performance to keep in-form Toffees striker Calvert-Lewin quiet, and this pleased Solskjaer.
“I thought Harry’s performance was top, of course, against, for me, one of the best in the world with his aerial play,” Solskjaer said at his post-match press conference.
“Calvert-Lewin with his timing in the air, his jump, his sprint, his athleticism and I thought we as a backline defending really well against him.
“So I’m really pleased with Harry and the rest of them back there.”
