Solskjaer gives reason for his team selection against Everton

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has explained his selection for our win over Everton.

The Norwegian made four changes to the starting XI that lost 2-1 to Basaksehir in midweek.

First-choice goalie De Gea was back between the sticks while Lindelof was passed fit to play again.

Midfielders Scott McTominay and Fred were preferred to the Nemanja Matic and Donny van de Beek midfield partnership.

“Victor’s feeling OK in his back. Hopefully, he can last the game,” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told MUTV of his starting XI to face Everton on Saturday.

“The energy of Scott and Fred, after not playing midweek, will help us.

“Juan has shown us many times that we need his brightness and cleverness, and he’s been in good form lately. Hopefully, we can get him on the ball and let him create chances for the front players.”

Meanwhile, we ran out 3-1 winners at Goodison Park thanks to Bruno Fernandes’ brace and a United goal for Edison Cavani.
