Former Manchester City player Trevor Sinclair has claimed Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone would be a better fit for the Manchester United job than Mauricio Pochettino.
He has urged the club’s board to do all they can to bring in Simeone to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford.
When asked about the Mauricio Pochettino to Man United links, former Man City player Trevor Sinclair told talkSport: “I’ve always thought Diego Simeone epitomises Manchester United.
“That aggression, that playing on the front foot, having the players super fit to play 95/100 minutes of a game…
“Listen, if I was on the board I would be trying to tempt Simeone away from Atletico and LaLiga and bring him in to Old Trafford.”
