Manchester United players were poor in the 2-1 loss to Istanbul Bakasehir on Wednesday, with Anthony Martial’s first half goal the only real positive from the encounter.

But a few players were unusually below their normal best, including Bruno Fernandes, who could barely complete a cross on the night.

According to stats emerging from the match, Fernandes lost the ball an appalling 34 times against Bakasehir.

This means the Portuguese gave the ball away more often than he has ever done in a Man United shirt, in what was perhaps the worst performance we’ve seen from him so far.

Fernandes also managed a 72% pass completion rate, with a 63.5% success rate in the final third.

Furthermore, Fernandes couldn’t create a decent scoring chance all game, with just 7 of his 14 long passes being successful.

He did however, manage a shot on target, which was of course, saved by the goalkeeper, but ultimately, it was an abysmal one from our ace.
