Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has slammed the club’s decision to sell Rafael Da Silva after our defeat against Istanbul Basaksehir in Turkey.
Rafael was up against us for the first time since leaving the club in 2015 to join Lyon during Louis van Gaal’s reign.
The Brazilian defender was very Impressive as the Turkish side recorded their first-ever victory in the Champions League against us on Wednesday night, and Ferdinand tweeted after the game to express his regret that Rafael was sold.
“We never should have sold Rafael #facts,” tweeted Ferdinand.
Meanwhile, the former United defender was less than impressed with our defending in the game.
“The goals against us….please tell me someone is going nuts in that changing room and people are being made accountable,” said Ferdinand.
“The shape of the team when we lose the ball for the 1st goal.”
Next up for the Solskjaer and Manchester United is an away trip to Goodison Park on Saturday to face Everton.
