Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes has slammed United’s defending, following their surprise loss to Turkish side, Istanbul Bakasehir.

The Red Devils missed a chance to solidify their grip on Group H, by losing 2-1 to the hosts, who had 0 points going into the match.

Goals from ex Chelsea striker, Demba Ba and Edin Visca were enough to see Bakasehir through, despite a goal from Anthony Martial.

But it was the nature of United’s defending that will be a source of concern for fans and Olé Gunnar Solskjaer, after the Red were caught on the break twice.

Club legend, Scholes, watched the match, and was visibly livid with the defending.

Speaking after the game, the former midfielder said, “Watching Manchester United defend is like watching Under 10-s football.

“It’s embarrassing to watch, they’re all over the place. The first goal was comical and laughable. Why would they eave Demba Ba with Nemanja Matic, who can’t run anyway?”

United currently have six points from three matches from the group.
