Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, has claimed Paul Pogba doesn’t show enough spirit and fight to be in the club’s midfield.
The Frenchman was responsibility for a foul that led to Arsenal’s goal in the match on Sunday, after Pierre Emerick Aubameyang converted the resulting penalty, but Keane believes his overall contributions to the team wasn’t good enough.
Speaking on Sky Sports after United’s loss, Keane said of Pogba, “Paul Pogba hasn’t done enough. Sometimes the players turn up and you don’t know what you’re going to get. Pogba is like that, that is no good for you if you want to win titles.
“For all Pogba’s talent, he should be in this team, but he doesn’t do enough – he doesn’t do the other side of the game. He doesn’t show enough spirit, enough fight, he’s got talent, but that’s not enough to play in midfield for Manchester United. It’s as simple as that.”
Keane has actually criticised a few other players aside Pogba, following Sunday’s loss, including Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford, who he claimed didn’t show enough leadership in the game.
