Manchester United beat RB Leipzig 5-0 at Old Trafford on Wednesday night thanks to goals from Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and a hat-trick from Marcus Rashford.
According to Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United’s ruthlessness in front of goal and the hardwork the players put in on the pitch were the secret to the 5-0 victory over RB Leipzig.
Speaking on BT Sport, Solskjaer said: “In games like this we have to be ruthless, you’re not going to get many chances against the semi-finalists of this competition last season.
“This group is coming together and we’ve added a few quality players. Marcus Rashford came on and did well, but that’s only possible when the others laid the groundwork. What a shift they put in, Leipzig make you work really hard.”
This was our first home win of the season and the Norwegian is pleased the team turned up in style.
We are now top of our Champions League group with six points from two games.
