Manchester United recorded a 5-0 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The highlight of the game was striker Marcus Rashford’s hattrick against the German side.
Prior to completing his treble, Rashford had the chance to complete his hat-trick after Manchester United were awarded a penalty but he allowed Anthony Martial take the penalty instead.
Speaking on BT Sport after the 5-0 against RB Leizpig, Rashford revealed why he allowed Martial take the penalty: “I feel confident with Anthony Martial taking the penalties, so no worries about that.
“It was a real team performance. The ones who started did well and the substitutes did well too.
“We can’t ask for much more than that in terms of the attitude and the intent to go and kill the game off. It worked in our favour.”
The England international is now the Champions League’s leading scorer this season with 4 goals in 2 games.
