Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Manchester United left-back Alex Telles has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Brazilian has made just one appearance for the club since signing in a £13million deal from Porto this summer and his absence from Wednesday’s squad to play RB Leipzig left supporters worried that he had sustained an injury.
However, Solskjaer confirmed after Manchester United’s 5-0 victory over RB Leipzig that the Brazilian left-back missed the game after testing positive to Covid-19.
“Telles has tested positive for coronavirus, he’s been out for a few days,” said Solskjaer.
“No symptoms, he’ll be fine, back soon.”
Telles will need to self-isolate for a period of two weeks and return a negative result before he can rejoin the squad.
