Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has revealed he’s delighted with the arrival of Edinson Cavani to Manchester United, despite the obvious competition the Uruguayan brings with him.
The 33 year old made his debut against Chelsea last weekend, and could have gotten on the score sheet, after making some trademark runs.
Cavani has been tipped for success by pundits and ex- United players, who saw him in action, and Martial is pleased to have him around.
The Frenchman said of Cavani, “He’s a really great player, he’s proved exactly that all the way through his career, and I hope that he’ll manage to help us out.
“It’s always a positive to have even more quality within the group and as there are always a lot of fixtures to play, when one player is rested, it will allow us to ensure that there is no drop-off in quality whatsoever.
“That’s especially important for the team.”
It’s great to see Martial isn’t bothered at all by Cavani’s arrival, after making a less than impressive start to life this season, himself, but he’s taken some time off, no thanks to the red card he saw against Tottenham, and will be hoping to come back revitalised and better.
