Liverpool legend, Jamie Caragher, has insisted having Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes in the same midfield is a recipe for disaster.
The former defender made the comment while speaking about the game between Manchester United and Chelsea from over the weekend, where Pogba was left on the bench.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Caragher said: “I actually admire (Ole Gunnar) Solskjaer for putting Pogba on the bench.
“I said a few weeks ago after the Crystal Palace game, Fernandes and Pogba is not a midfield that can play together and never will be.”
He added: “The problem for me is Paul Pogba, I’ve said it for a long time. I’m with Gary (Neville), Fernandes is the man for that No 10 position but I don’t know how Ole can not pick a £90m signing in Pogba, it’s difficult for a manager, so at some stage he will get back into the team.”
Pogba has had to play a bit-part role for the Red Devils lately, coming on as a substitute in the match against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and last weekend’s goalless draw.
