Solskjaer wants Manchester United to sign £68million goal machine as longterm replacement for Cavani

According to The Athletic, Manchester United are still interested in signing Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants the player to be part of his rebuilding project at Old Trafford.

The Norwegian is believed to have a relationship to have a good relationship with Haaland right from their time together at Norwegian side Molde.

Despite the addition of Edinson Cavani this summer, Solskjaer is still keen on boosting his centre-forward options in the long term.

The club made an effort to sign the player last winter transfer window before he joined Dortmund but it’ll be interesting to see if the club will renew our pursuit of the Norwegian striker.

Haaland’s Borussia Dortmund contract runs until 2022 and he has a £68million release clause in his contract.
