According to reports, Manchester United are keen on appointing Lille sporting director Luis Campos as United’s sporting director.
Further details from Canal Plus claim Campos, 56, is United’s top choice for sporting director role at Old Trafford. He was a manager for 20 years before becoming a scout for a brief period for Real Madrid.
He first took up a position as director of football at Monaco in 2013, and later made a move to join Lille in 2017.
Campos is widely regarded as one of the best sporting directors in world football and was previously linked with a move to rivals Tottenham over the summer, but nothing materialised.
Meanwhile, Serie A side Roma are also thought to be monitoring his situation to see how things play out at Lille.
