Manchester United recorded a goalless draw against Chelsea on Saturday, in a game that never quite seemed like it was going to produce the goals.
Before the match, eyes were on Olé Gunnar Solskjaer’s potential lineup, with many keen to see who he’d deploy in centre back, after the impressive defensive showing from last Tuesday, and Lindelof—Maguire was again, the preferred pairing at the back.
The Swede didn’t have the best opening few games of the season, after causing a few goal-leading errors, but since the international break, he has seemed a rejuvenated player, impressing at Newcastle and in France, against Paris Saint-Germain.
Lindelof was again, very useful on Saturday, as his pairing with Maguire seemed as potent as it was for most of the restart last season.
He had an impressive pass accuracy of 91%, 4 ball recovering, 2 successful clearances, 2 dribbles, and helped create a chance for the Red Devils.
We’re not sure how the improvement has happened, but it looks good for him, and we only hope it continues.
