Solskjaer confirms two players that will miss Chelsea game

With Manchester United set to host Chelsea at Old Trafford on Saturday, Manchester United boss Olé Gunnar Solskjaer, has given fans an update on what players are available for the game.

Harry Maguire didn’t feature against Paris Saint-Germain over the course of the week due to a slight injury challenge, and Solskjaer believes he and Mason Greenwood are in contention to feature against Frank Lampard side.

As for Eric Bailly, the gaffer says the Ivorian isn’t available for now, along with Jesse Lingard, who also has a long term injury.

He said in his press briefing, “There is nothing that we’ve struggled with after the game.

“Of course, there’s tiredness of the travel and little aches and pains but I think everyone should be ready for the weekend.

“We’re still hoping Mason [Greenwood] and Harry [Maguire] can be available in the squad. Of course, we have a training session today [Friday], so they’re going to have to go through that.

“Eric [Bailly] won’t be available. Jesse [Lingard] won’t be available so we’ll manage without them for a few weeks I think.”

Former PSG forward, Edinson Cavani is also expected to make his Man United debut on Saturday, and seeing as he likes to score against Chelsea, it promises to be an interesting watch.
