January signing Bruno Fernandes has been named Manchester United captain to face PSG, in the absence of Harry Maguire, who is injured and will miss Tuesday’s Champions League clash.

Appointing Bruno Fernandes as the captain for Tuesday night’s game is a no-brainer, seeing how he has lifted up morale since joining the club.

Bruno Fernandes is known for dishing out instructions to his teammates while on the pitch, and even on the training ground, he is usually loud to ensure morale is high.

Explaining why he does that, the Portuguese star said: “I think I grow up like this, you know?

“It is the way I have to be. Sometimes it is too much, but I think I can help the team with the way I am.

“All players are different and you need all those characters to complete the team.”

United boss Olé Gunnar Solskjaer was full of praise for Fernandes and also hailed his impact at the club.

“Bruno has come in and had great impact with all the stats showing that,” said the manager.

“His performances have been receiving real great praise as well. Not changed the team, but sparked the team.”
