Worrying stats show why Solskjaer must take Newcastle seriously

Manchester United will face Newcastle United later on Saturday, in a match that is very important and perhaps, a must-win for Olé Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Norwegian is facing massive backlash from fans and pundits, following United’s stuttering start to the new season.

The Red Devils have only picked up three points from a possible 9, losing two games and winning just one in the process.

The signs do not look good, and Solskjaer will be looking to turn things around against Newcastle.

But recent history has shown that the Magpies are not a side to be taken lightly, as they have been one of our toughest oppositions, especially away from home.

In the last four meetings between both sides, the away team have managed to steal points off United on three occasions— in fact, they recorded 1-0 wins against us at home in both 2018 and 2019, and in 2016, it ended in a 3-3 draw.

To even make things more interesting, the hosts have just lost one of their last 7 Premier League matches.

They have been a strong opposition, but hopefully, the lads can get one over them today.
