Bruno Fernandes was again, the inspiration Manchester United needed to earn a vital win against Newcastle at St James’ Park.
The Portugal international missed a penalty early in the second half of the match, as he was denied by Magpies goalkeeper, Karl Darlow.
However, with five minutes remaining, Fernandes placed a stunning strike into the top corner, to make the scores 2-1, after a well headed goal from Harry Maguire leveled the scores for Olé Gunnar Solskjaer’s men in the first half.
Fernandes’s goal then, sparked a late flurry, as Aaron Wan-Bissaka got his first senior goal, to make it 3-1, before Marcus Rashford added a fourth, with the three goals coming late in the game.
The result lifts United into 14th, just a point behind Newcastle, who are in 11th.
