Former Manchester United forward, Angel Di Maria, has hailed his former teammate, Edinson Cavani as an ‘exceptional’ striker.
Cavani spent 7 years at Paris Saint-Germain before leaving back in March, but before his departure, the Uruguayan managed 200 goals in just 301 appearances, and Di Maria believes he is one of the absolute best in the world.
In a recent chat with PSG Magazine, the Argentine said of Cavani, “Edi is an exceptional striker.
“I believe that there is not much to say about such a striker. You just have to observe him in every game. His forward moves as number 9 are extraordinary.
“There are few center-forwards like him. On the pitch, Edi is a person who always wants to win more.
“He is never satisfied. He has the ambition to surpass himself year after year by winning more and more titles and always scoring more goals.”
Cavani is currently unavailable to play for Man United, as he continues to self-isolate, as part of coronavirus protocols, but the 33 year old will get an opportunity to show fans what he can bring to the table when we face PSG in the UEFA Champions League on October 20.
