The athletic 35 year old has been with the European side throughout the last few days, as they participate in the UEFA Nations League, but millions of his fans were on Tuesday, hit with the shocking news of his recent test result.

The news was confirmed by the Portugal FA, who released a statement, saying, “Cristiano Ronaldo was released from the work of the National Team after a positive test for COVID-19, so he will not face Sweden.”
