Just as we reported earlier, Gareth Southgate has recalled Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire, to the England national team, ahead of their upcoming matches this month.
The Three Lions have a friendly against Wales, and a UEFA Nations League clash with Denmark in the next international break, and Southgate has released his squad for the matches.
Maguire, along with Dean Henderson and Marcus Rashford were all invited for the games, while Mason Greenwood’s name was unsurprisingly, but sadly missing.
The youngster has been expelled from the national team, after breaching Covid-19 safety guidelines and sneaking women into the team hotel, after England’s match against Iceland a few weeks ago.
It’s not clear how long the status quo will be for, but the 18 year old has shown remorse for the behaviour, and we expect him to return in the near future.
